School of Visual Arts Website
The thinking behind the design was to be able to characterize the school by striking a balance between a website which needs to convey information and also express something of the creative individuality and energy that the school is known for. A set of elements created from hand-drawn marks (lines, arrows and scribbles) were used throughout the site. These marks could be anyone's marks in that they look like the marks an artist makes when testing tools, such as pencils, brushes, pens, etc.
In 2005, the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences selected this site as a winner of a Webby award in the School category.
