Cartoon Network Website
The design for Cartoon Network's website was inspired by the typography and design of cartoons from the 1960's and 1970's. This approach created a "natural setting" for the cartoon characters and allowed us to give the website and its content a warm, lively feel. The website spoke cleary to the kids who used it and quickly became the number one destination for kids on the internet. This website featured the first cartoon series to premiere on the web - Gary Panter's Pink Donkey and the Fly as well as Cartoon Orbit: a community hub with contests, polls, trading etc. Cartoon Orbit allowed kids to be part of a trading economy, which was designed for the collecting & trading of collectible card-like images called c-toons.
