Smashing Magazine gets "Arty"
Over at Smashing Magazine, Chris's design of the Funny Garbage website is cited in the article "If Famous Painters were Web Designers" (screenshot below). Judging by all of the comments, the article caused quite a stir with some appreciating the collection of work assembled by the author, Francisco Inchauste and others deriding him for being glib. Check it out for yourself.
While Chris' art direction for the Funny Garbage site wasn't directly influenced by the work of Hans Hoffman, the exuberance of abstract expressionism is definitely in the mix. If he were asked he would have given more props to Rauschenberg and Twombly as influences.

Duck Rock in the year 2009
Stussy asked us to design a Lasonic boombox for fall release. The design is inspired by the iconic customized boom box from the 80's. In those days it was common to see GIANT boomboxes with colorful paint jobs. Don't bother digging out your old cassettes, though, this new boombox has a special dock for you ipod. FRESH!

NickMag.com
The redesign of the website for (the ill fated) Nick Mag. We came up with a design that could present the diverse amount of content of the site in a fun, appropriate and digestible manner. This included a redesign of their comics viewer ( the sites most popular attraction). This comics viewer would have given kids access to hundreds of cool comics.
