Todd James & Adam Weissman for Nike Sportswear

I wanted to highlight two separate shorts made respectively by my friends Todd James & Adam Weissman promoting Nike's Windrunner Jacket. Featured on Nike's Sportwear site, these impressive shorts are full of original ideas, style and comedy.

Todd James' Windrunner mascot (pictured above) hits the streets to catch fame as a street artist, take on some trendy fashion victims and spread the word about the meaning of real speed. The wise and scrappy Windrunner mascot is played by the one and only Max Cohen. Favorite sequence: the Windrunner, as an extension of his wheat pasting street art activities performs a solo interpretive modern dance.

See Todd's shorts here.

Adam Weissman's shorts are set in the 1970's, and tell the story of controversial running coach Rick Hoffman who claims that wearing the Windrunner jacket adds speed to his team. This claim is publicly challenged by consumer advocate Barry Beeves on his show "I Call Foul". In a final showdown, Rick Hoffman is vindicated on the track as his star runner (wearing the Windrunner jacket) outruns a tiger.
Through casting, costumes, music, graphics and his treatment of the film quality-(looks like old worn videotape), Weissman's films do a great job of recreating 70's era TV. I'm blown away by consumer advocate "Barry Beeves"---this guys performance is hilarious.
